Interesting Places to Visit in Zacatecas

Mexico has 32 States, but in this occasion I am going to talk about only one in specific, Zacatecas. It is located almost in the middle of Mexico. This State has many interesting places where daily a lot of tourists visit them. Despite this, these places are very important to Zacatecas because they help to support the economy of the state. Some examples of these spots visited by tourist are the silver mines, the Bufa hill, and the center of Zacatecas.

To begin with, the silver mines were discovered in 1546 by the Spanish. During those days, mines were used just to subtract silver and sell it, but now it is different. Nowadays, mines have been fixed sophisticatedly to receive tourist and give them a tour through the mines. At the same time, tourists are guided by a man who tells them the history of the mine and shows them specific places of the mine. Without a doubt, the silver mine is a very good place where we should visit with all our family.

     The second interesting place in Zacatecas is the Bufa hill. It is located in the east edge of the city of Zacatecas; from this hill you can appreciate the whole city and the beautiful landscape of the nature. Furthermore, on the top of the hill there are many constructions in there that are trying to express part of the Mexican culture. Some examples of the constructions we have are the museums and the “teleferico.” The last one mentioned is a kind of air transport used to move tourist from the Bufa hill to another hill and show them the city. These are only few characteristics of the Bufa hill in Zacatecas.

       At last, we have the historic center of the State of Zacatecas in Mexico, another interesting and exciting place that you should visit. In there you will admire the colonial buildings made of strong rock. Moreover, you will find an impressive cathedral built in 1731, some art museums, and a spot called ‘’La Quemada.’’The last one mentioned, is an important archeological zone where you can see magnificent structures made by natives Zacatecanos.  The city of Zacatecas has been witness to great battles and it is reflected in its streets, people, and museums.

 In conclusion, all the mentioned characteristics are only part of the colonial State of Zacatecas. Without mentioning the hospitality of its people and its nice weather. For these reasons, you should make a little pause in your daily activities and visit Zacatecas as soon as possible. I am sure you won’t regret doing that.
